Vendor Policy
Last updated July 29, 2026 (version 2026-07-29)
Every vendor signs this policy before opening a storefront. The signed acknowledgment reads: “I have read and understand the Dayzyy Vendor Policy. I understand which products are prohibited under Apple, Stripe, and Square requirements, and I agree to sell only permitted items. I am solely responsible for complying with all laws and regulations governing what I sell and where I ship it, including state-by-state restrictions on food and pet-consumable products, and for keeping my store's and each listing's ship-to states accurate. I understand my sales-tax responsibilities, including that Square payments settle to my own account and that I am responsible for configuring Square tax rates and remitting collected tax. I understand that violations may result in removal of my listings, suspension of my storefront, loss of payment processing, cancellation of orders at my expense, withholding of pending payouts, or a permanent ban from Dayzyy.”
Why This Policy Exists
Dayzyy operates on Apple's App Store and processes payments through Stripe and Square. Each of these platforms enforces strict rules about what may be sold. Listing a prohibited item can result in removal of the listing, suspension of your storefront, freezing of payouts by our payment processors, or removal of the Dayzyy app itself. Every vendor must understand and agree to this policy before creating a storefront.
What You May Sell
Dayzyy is a marketplace for legal, physical, locally made or locally grown goods, including:
- Hand-grown produce: seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh-cut herbs, and farm eggs.
- Artisanal foods: fresh breads, small-batch jams, sauces, honey, and pantry staples prepared in compliance with your state's cottage-food or commercial-kitchen requirements.
- Handcrafted goods: candles, cold-process soaps, textiles, ceramics, woodwork, and functional home goods.
- Flowers, plants, and seedlings permitted for sale in your state.
Prohibited Items (Payment Processor Rules — Stripe & Square)
The following may never be listed or sold on Dayzyy. These categories come directly from Stripe's Restricted Businesses list and Square's General Terms, which govern our ability to process your payments:
- Alcohol of any kind, including homemade wine, beer, cider, or spirits.
- Tobacco, nicotine, and vaping products.
- Cannabis, CBD, THC, hemp-derived intoxicants, and related products or paraphernalia.
- Controlled substances, prescription drugs, and pharmaceuticals.
- Dietary supplements making disease or health-treatment claims.
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, and fireworks.
- Counterfeit, stolen, or trademark-infringing goods.
- Hazardous or recalled materials.
- Gift cards, currency, gambling services, or anything sold on credit.
- Adult content or sexually oriented products.
Prohibited Items (Food Safety & Legal Requirements)
- Raw or unpasteurized dairy where prohibited by state law.
- Uninspected, home-slaughtered, or wild-game meat. Meat and poultry must come from licensed and inspected sources.
- Live animals.
- Foods requiring refrigeration sold without proper cold-chain handling.
- Any food item that violates your state's cottage-food, licensing, or labeling requirements.
Apple App Store Requirements
Because Dayzyy is distributed through the App Store, all listings must also meet Apple's App Review Guidelines:
- Only legal, physical goods may be sold. No digital content, services, or in-app unlockables may be sold through your storefront.
- No listings containing objectionable, discriminatory, or sexually explicit imagery or text.
- Product photos and descriptions must accurately represent the item being sold.
- No listings that facilitate illegal activity or encourage unsafe use of a product.
Your Responsibilities as a Vendor
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including food-handling, cottage-food, licensing, labeling, and health requirements.
- Ship only where the law allows. Many products — especially food and pet-consumable items — are regulated state by state. You are solely responsible for knowing where each product may legally be sold and shipped, and for keeping your store's and each listing's ship-to states accurate so restricted items never ship where you can't legally send them.
- Provide accurate allergen and ingredient information for all food items.
- Keep listings accurate: real photos, correct prices, honest availability.
- Collect and remit any taxes you owe on your sales.
- Fulfill orders as promised — pickup windows and shipping times you set are commitments to buyers.
Sales Tax Responsibilities (Stripe & Square)
How sales tax is handled depends on which payment processor runs the order:
- Stripe orders (online checkout): Dayzyy is the merchant of record. Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout — destination-based for shipped and delivered orders, and based on your business location for pickup — and Dayzyy collects and remits that tax.
- Square orders (online checkout and in-person POS): you are the merchant of record. Sales tax is calculated from the tax rates you configure in your Square Dashboard (Account & Settings → Business → Sales taxes), and the full amount — including tax — settles directly to your Square account.
- If you accept Square payments, you are solely responsible for configuring accurate tax rates and remitting all collected tax to your state and local tax authorities. If no rates are configured in Square, no tax is collected on Square orders.
- Keep your store's pickup address ZIP code accurate — pickup and in-person orders depend on your location for the correct tax rate.
- Square orders shipped to buyers outside your state do not automatically collect destination-state sales tax; any out-of-state tax obligations (nexus) are your responsibility.
- Dayzyy provides sales records to help with filing but does not provide tax advice. Consult a tax professional about your obligations.
Enforcement
Dayzyy reviews listings and may remove products, suspend storefronts, or terminate vendor accounts that violate this policy. If you sell or ship products in violation of law or this policy, Dayzyy may cancel affected orders and refund buyers at your expense, withhold or delay your pending payouts while we investigate, permanently ban your account, and report the conduct to Stripe, Square, or law enforcement as required. Where a violation puts our payment processing or App Store standing at risk, removal may be immediate and without prior notice.
